Now that I’ve got your attention, let me hasten to say that I’m well aware, there’s no such thing as a rude dog, only rude dog owners or walkers. I mean, just look into Giorgio’s eyes and you’ll know, he doesn’t have a rude bone in his body.
I don’t think people set out to be rude where their dogs are concerned. Not intentionally anyway, right? Although, some people do take advantage and move through the city doing what they please without regard for other people and dogs in their world.
At least, I hope it isn’t intentional when someone let’s their dog do something rude. I hope it is just a case of getting to know what’s polite and neighborly, and, what isn’t. Such as, always picking up those poop deposits–without fail–even in the pouring rain and snow. And respecting posted signs that tell us where our dogs are allowed and where they’re not.
So this blog isn’t about placing blame and calling people or their dogs rude. It’s more about observing people and their dogs and maybe shedding a little light on being a polite dog instead of a rude one, keeping in mind our dogs can only be polite if we guide them to be so.
And wouldn’t I be a Rude Dog if I didn’t say Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays everyone!
